About Murphy ( Was Mac )
**Please note: Before applying for Mac, please make sure you meet his specific requirements**
This handsome boy is MAC, short for Most Awesome Canine or Mr Mac&Cheese!
Mac is a calm and gentle boy that adores resting in the sun and cuddling with his favourite canines and humans on the couch.
Mac's world has been pretty quiet and small until recently, so he finds the big wide world of suburbia quite overwhelming. He has learned that humans have couches and hot food though, so is well on his way to adjusting his opinions about pet life.
Mac takes a little time to adjust to new environments however, he has learned that his crate and his couch are his safe spaces and does very well if he can retreat back to his safe areas when he is feeling a little less brave.
Mac comes from a rural environment and is most comfortable in a yard with a view of the rolling hills. He has also learned to play with his foster siblings in his yard and once out he will bless your day with the bounciest zoomies and that big beautiful golden smile.
Mac would do well with a confident and social, medium to large canine friend who can show him the ropes in his new home and help him find his zoomie button!
LOCATION FOSTERCARE - SPECIAL NEEDS PET
If you are interested in Mac and ready to adopt now, please send in an application to the SCAR Adoption Team via the Pet Rescue website.
As Mac has special needs, be sure you tell us why you are a great match for him and how he will fit into your home.
We aim to make sure that you fully understand your new pet's needs prior to committing to taking them home, so:
- For pets with specific medical needs, you will have the opportunity to discuss their requirements with a member of our vet team.
- For pets with specific behaviour needs, you will have the opportunity to chat with a member of our behaviour team and their foster carer.
We also provide ongoing post-adoption support to help you and your new pet develop a great relationship!
Please note the following:
We do not take applications for animals over the phone, as we are a small team and are trying our best to be fair to all applicants while creating the best outcomes for our animals.
We aim to reply to all applications within 5 business days, and will confirm with all applicants once we have an adoption meet booked for the animal.
All of our meet and greets occur at the adoption center in Craigieburn, and all going well you will take home your pet on the day of the meet.
The majority of our animals are in a foster home, not at the shelter, so you need to apply via the website to meet them. Thank you! www.secondchanceanimalrescue.com.au ... because they all deserve one!
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
