About Kiki
Kiki loves her human companions. Kiki loves her greyhound foster brother. Kiki loves walks. Kiki loves naps. Kiki loves snacks. Kiki loves... Are you sensing a pattern here?
Kiki's foster carers describe her as full of joy, "she just loves life"! If you're looking for a companion who will remind you of the wonder of the world around you, vivacious Kiki just might be your perfect match.
While this little lady has good house manners, and won't jump to counter surf, she will help herself to things left at "Kiki level", so tasty treats are best secured in cupboards or up high on benches. Remotes and shoes also make for irresistible collectors items, so if you find them missing, the first place to look is tucked away in her bed.
Although she is four years old, Kiki has the play and energy of a juvenile, and would be well suited to an active home with another dog. While she is good at respecting the communication and boundaries of her current foster brother (12y/o male grey), she is busting for a friend to let her cuddle up and love them, and sometimes will creep very gently onto the edge of her foster brother's bed while he is sleeping in the hopes he won't notice her sneak attack snuggles.
Out in the world Kiki loves to be at the very end of her leash taking it all in. There's so many exciting things to see and to sniff and to experience! All that energy can sometimes be a little bit much for other dogs, but with time and patience she's learning to dial things back a few levels and greet more politely. While she is friendly, she can be boisterous with other dogs on first meeting which is not the best way to become best mates.

• What your work/social commitments will look like as restrictions continue to ease
Please no applications from:
(1) Homes with cats or pocket pets (example: rabbits, rats, guinea pigs)
(2) Homes with children under 5 (Kiki has not been exposed to young children and therefore we cannot guarantee her temperament around them)
(3) Homes without a medium to large canine
(4) Apartments or units without yards

Adoption details
1) Please email adopt@amazinggreys.com.au
2) Our adoptions team will send you an application form so we can learn more about you, your household and lifestyle
3) Once you submit an application, a volunteer from Amazing Greys then conducts an in person home check so that you can learn more about us and our community (all of our volunteers are fully vaccinated and must abide by our COVID Safety Plan)
4) Based on the home check, our adoptions team will suggest a suitable match for you*, and a meet and greet will be arranged with the foster home
5) After the meet and greet, should you decide to proceed the greyhound will be placed on a 3 week trial with you
5) At the completion of the trial period, our $400 fee will be due and the greyhound becomes an official member of your family!
Our team will keep in touch with you throughout the process and help you to settle in your new greyhound; but you will also have lifetime support, at any point post adoption our team can assist with referrals to qualified behaviourists and also providing resources and in home consultations where required.
*Where a suitable match is not available, you may be placed onto a wait list. Please note, we do not cat test and may refer applications with small animals to organisations that are able to assist with a placement
