About Timmy
Timmy â the dog with a constant smile and beautiful brown eyes â will easily melt your heart.
Little Timmy weighs in at about 11 kilos and is mMicrochipped as an English Staffy x Poeranian but we think he is more like an English Staffy x Jack Russell
But what we are certain about is that heâs a beautiful soul, with calm energy. This boy is the happiest dog in the world when he is next to his humans or blissfully sleeping in your arms.

Travelling in Car
Timmy seems fine and well behaved in the car.
Food
Heâs fed Wellness Core High Protein kibble 2 times a day. He has a healthy appetite.
Outside
When left outside, he has slept in his âwell furnishedâ kennel and has been quiet. He has not dug up or been destructive or barked unnecessarily. He also likes hopping up and sitting on the garden chairs.
Visitors
While he barks when theyâre at the door, Timmy is friendly to visitors and gets comfortable easily with new people. He just loves everyone.
Enrichment
Timmy has shown some interest in toys but he seems to prefer snuggling up to his humans.
Hygiene
With his short but thick soft coat, Timmy could do with the occasional brushing. Heâs easy to bathe.
Independence
Timmy is fairly independent. He behaves well when left outside in the courtyard. When indoors, he follows his humans around. If youâre on the couch, heâll be next to you, often getting on your lap or nudging you with his nose for pats.
Walks
Timmy does pull on walks but given his small size he is very easy to manage. He is not that interested in other dogs on walks as just wants to get on with his adventure.
Obedience
He understands basic commands. He has not been left off leash on walks and we have not tested his recall off leash. At this stage, we would not recommend letting him off the leash in parks. We recommend caution when opening the door to the home if heâs inside, just in case curiosity gets the better of him
Inside
He thrives on the love and attention he gets from his foster parents, and canât get enough of being around them. He follows them around the house if heâs not sleeping on the couch
While in foster care, Timmy has not displayed any destructive behaviour inside. Given his foster mum works from home, we have not really tested how he would react if left inside by himself for long periods of time.
Timmy is not toilet trained and will mark everything his little leg can cock itself on,
Dog Socialisation, Cats, Other Animals
While in foster care, he gets along well with his new foster sister, a female dog of similar size. After initially ignoring her, he occasionally plays with her. Being a relatively calm dog, he is perfectly happy sleeping next to her, even allowing her to sleep in his kennel with him.
He has not been tested with cats but judging from his interest in one during a walk, he may not be suited to a home with cats.
Sleeping Habits
It appears that Timmy has slept in his previous ownersâ bed as he jumps straight on the bed when he goes into the bedroom. While in foster care, he has spent some nights in his foster parentâs bed (his preferred sleeping arrangement of course!) as well as in his âwell-furnishedâ kennel outside.
Toilet Training
Timmy gets a mixed report here. It appears that in his previous home, Timmy and the other dog he lived with, used a doggy dog to go in and out of the house. The other dog is toilet trained, so it is likely that Timmy is too.
In foster care, Timmy has asked to be let out for the toilet by waiting at the door and whining. However, Timmy did mark several spots. He then stopped but did it again about a week later. This could just be because of stress, anxiety or just being in a new environment and with scents from previous foster dogs around.
Timmy will need some patience and training in this area
Ideal Home
Timmy absolutely loves human company and wants nothing more than a family (or couple) that will let him get on their lap and dote on him as much as his foster parents do
Single dog home which OR with another friendly, well socialised female dog of similar size
Taken on lots of walks as Timmy LOVES his walks
A home with a garden or courtyard (no apartments) with a kennel in a sheltered spot for occasions when he may be outside
Whilst Timmy can be outside on his own for a period of time, he needs a home where his owners will spend time with him, shower him with lots of love and preferably allow him inside for major parts of the day. He would not suit being left outside all the time
Ideally a home where he can access indoors and outdoors as he pleases (e.g., with a doggy door).
