About Max
Introducing Max a handsome Staffy x born 21/01/18.
Max is a very sweet, shy man who loves nothing more than spending time with people once he's warmed up to you. As he is so timid and gets frightened by loud noises and fast movements a home with older children would be beneficial.
When Max came to us he was an incredibly scared boy who cowered and shook with every touch. He has learnt that he is safe here and has really come out of his shell. He's turning into an incredibly sweet, fun and affectionate young man however he does still cringe & cower with fast movements near his head/face. Any potential adopter should know that he will need time to settle and trust that he's not going to be hurt again.
Max was a little unsure when testing with other dogs. He appeared to be quite good when testing with a calm female dog and looked as though he wanted to play with her, however when we tested him with a boisterous puppy who was trying to jump on him he did get a bit defensive. Given time and continued socialising we feel he could be housed with another calm dog.
If you have another friendly, calm dog already in the family, please remember to bring them along with you for a meet and greet to ensure everyone gets along fine before heading home to live together.
Max showed no interest in cats or our rooster, so we believe that with a slow and controlled introduction he could be housed with cats and pocket pets.
Max seems to be ok to be left alone, however there may be the potential for some mild anxiety when he is left at home alone for long periods of time.
Max
is such a loving man and wants nothing more than a home he can call his own and not have to worry about losing another family.
If you think you could be that furever family for Max, please contact our friendly staff via email at ccacfpetadoptions@gmail.com or 0499 900 272 to organise a meet and greet.
Max’s adoption fee is $450, and this includes his desexing, vaccinations and lifetime registration. Max is also regularly treated for fleas and worms.
Max is currently located in East Maitland.
Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
