About Belle
Are you ready to meet every single person in your neighbourhood? Then Belle is the girl for you! Social and outgoing, she delights in making new human friends (not to worry though, her leash manners are very good and there's no pulling or excitable behaviours).
If Belle had a favourite song, it would be "Lean on Me"; she shows her love by pushing her whole body into you, even strangers who stop to admire her sweet face will be treated to a little leaning.
Even the best of us have vices, and Belle is no different, she's learning not to dig, but it's just so much fun and far too tempting, so she is closely supervised during her outside time in her foster home. She would absolutely love a sandpit or specific spot where she could get her digging done, but is unfortunately not the dog for an avid gardener with an expensive collection of roses or tomatoes!
Belle came to us having lived with a young male kelpie, and is currently in foster care with an older female border collie, she is well socialised with other breeds and is polite and social on leash too. Described by her foster home as conflict avoidant and a very good communicator, once Belle is comfortable she is happy to share her toys and space, however when there is tension she will remove herself from the situation and defers to the other dog.
As she is a very social and loving girl, Belle would be over the moon with humans who are around more often than not, but could adjust to longer absences if needed; she is currently only left for periods of a few hours in her foster home where she is settled and will nap the time away. However she must have a medium to large canine sibling in her forever family, as she experiences separation anxiety even just being gated in another room without a dog for company.
If you think you have the perfect home for Belle, please contact us at adopt@amazinggreys.com.au
Before enquiring please consider:
• The time and financial commitments of adopting a forever hound
