About Archie
Archie is a people-loving, funny, friendly, affectionate and intelligent young man, on the hunt for his life humans.
Belly rubs and being told what a good boy he is, is his favourite thing. He will listen to how good and handsome he is for hours!
He’s such a happy and loving companion. Archie enjoys being close to his people, either under the table or by the couch (he would even love to join you on the end of the couch for an evening snuggle!). Much of his time is spent chilling out in his bed, or following you around the home.
Archie is good on-lead, and loves his daily explorer walks! He is particularly fond of having a walk where he is able to have a good sniff. He can be a little excitable seeing other dogs (he looooves to play and make friends) whilst out and about. However, with positive reinforcement, we are confident that Archie will decide you are more fun and pass canine friends calmly. He is not above throwing the odd husky tantrum, he just loves playing with other dogs.
Archie is well-mannered around food. He enjoys a mix of dry food with some brown rice, broccoli and some meat, such as chicken necks or livers (with no seasoning!). He is currently on a Hills Prescription diet, which suits his refined pallet just perfectly!
He is a show-line husky and so his “Husky traits” are watered down and are amusing rather than problematic. He isn’t destructive and doesn’t have escape tendencies.
He loves paddling in his pool and will take the opportunity to get wet whenever it presents.
Archie’s humans are heading back overseas and need him to find new human sidekicks. He is such a handsome, loving gentleman and a funny and brilliant companion. His new family will be lucky to have him enrich their lives.
If I sound perfect for you, please complete the short adoption application form in the attached link, please note this is the only way your application will be considered: https://homelesshounds.com.au/adopt/dogs
Medical notes
Archie is desexed, microchipped and up to date with vaccinations and parasite control.
Archie has experienced a skin infection on his eyes - which is being treated with Hydrozole cream and macrolone. It is not a recurring issue.
