About Toph
Toph
This tenacious kitten, aptly named after the blind superhero from the Last Airbender is looking for her happily ever after, could that be you?
Toph was found as a tiny kitten on a worksite and kindly brought to a vet by workers. Her eyes were, well… kinda only half existent. And what was there did nothing, so they had to go! But did this stop our tiny superhero? My gosh no!
Taken home by the vet, this tiny baby was nursed back to health. First- those faulty eyeballs had to go! The amazing team at SASH made sure that was taken care of. Eyeballs out! Eyelids shut! Ah, much better! No more scratchy, painful sockets. They’re sorted for good, and with hair grown back, it looks like she was born this way. Then we had to get the silly reproductive organs out, the jabs and the chip. Vet-work, tick!
Affectionately known as the fluffy roomba, this girl bumps her way around with her whiskers and finds her way around just fine. Sometimes she might run into something, sometimes she might miscalculate distance, but it doesn’t bother this resilient gal! Once she maps out the area in her head, she knows exactly where to go. She also knows and responds to her name and loves keeping her parent company while working in the home office. She’s a snuggly baby that will purr and ask for lovin’ from her hoomans.
She has lived with two cats and a dog, and she co-inhabits just fine on her end, although if they spook her, sometimes she runs away. If there are to be other animals in the house; they need to be gentle and friendly, because she can’t easily get away if needed. But with lots of human attention, she would be just happy as a single animal too! She will need to be indoor only because she can’t see what’s coming!
Tiny humans? Haven’t met them. And it’s probably not a good fit for really little ones. She does little love nibbles and little kids might get scared at this. Older kids that will know to be gentle and not to spook her, should be a-ok! But a little meet and greet to see if they vibe is a good idea.
This 9 month old youngster has her whole life ahead of her and now just needs the perfect superhero’s to join her team. Her eyes are all sorted, vet work done, toilet trained, brush trained and ready to be someone’s forever fluffy roomba. She is located near Maitland NSW and is not suitable for interstate adoption.
Medical notes
She was born without working eyes, and they were removed and her eyelids sewn up. This has resolved her issues with her eyes now and shouldn’t pose any issue long term.
