About Skyla
SKYLAR | 7 yr | Siberian Husky
Located Melb
We’d love you to meet the very delightful Skylar, a grey 7-year-old girl, who our meet-n-greet team thought was absolutely gorgeous!
Skylar is a mature girl who is very happy and well-adjusted, who knows how to live the good life. She adores laying on the couch or bed and having a good relax, along with loving her walks and being a food enthusiast.
She is a very independent dog and is happy to entertain herself outside (or sneaking off into the bedroom to go for a quick snoozle). As part of her ethos of enjoying the good life, Skylar will need to have the freedom to come in and out, as she prefers being indoors snuggled up on the couch.
Skylar is house trained and knows all the basic manners. She could do with a bit more leash work, as her enthusiasm to catch up to other dogs could have her pulling you down the garden path! That said, she loves her walks, especially if they involve the beach.
She is ok short-term socialising with other dogs if she’s the dominant dog, but she very much prefers her own company and would like to be an only dog. She’s not a huge fan of children either, so we’d recommend a household with no, or only older, kids.
Skylar is very food focused, so we recommend a ‘slow eating’ dish for her, and keeping your delicious charcuterie boards out of her eye line! She’ll also find weak spots in your fence line and the only thing you’ll see is her fluffy butt disappearing into the distance, so a very secure yard is an absolute must. Ah, these clever huskies with a passion for adventure!
The usual husky rules apply, with no cats or pocket pets, secure 6ft+ fences and lots of love, care and exercise.
Not suited to apartment or rural fencing.
