About Arnie DL2918
Arnie is the sweetest boy; very timid, placid and gentle.
Arnie has such a beautiful demeanour, he is so friendly that you can take him anywhere, and he loves to be included. He is house trained, travels well in the car, and enjoys meeting other dogs and people on walks.
When visiting another dog, he says hello but doesn’t interact much. So, whilst he is dog social, having a dog friend at home isn't a must. He was great when meeting a caged guinea pig, and has met a cat from a controlled distance and was interested but not fixated.
Arnie loves people of all ages, even kids, and is gentle when meeting them. He's happy being around groups of people, though you'll find he tends to attach himself to one family member in particular.
He likes to be wherever you are, whether that's wandering around the garden, or supervising as you do your chores. He sleeps comfortably indoors on his own bed, the couch, or your bed.
Arnie's not comfortable being left home alone for long periods, so will suit someone who doesn't work full time hours. He's not destructive and his separation anxiety is already improving, and will continue to do so with time and patience.
He's not a fussy eater but is food oriented, so you can continue to teach him tricks with treats! He loves going for walks so much that he can pull on the lead, so you'll just need to practice loose-lead walking with him.
Arnie makes a very loyal and loving companion. If you'd love to meet him, contact DFL today to apply.
Medical notes
Arnie is a Forever Foster with DFL, meaning that he is looking for a permanent foster home to live in (for the rest of his days!), while he remains under DFL’s ownership. DFL will cover the cost of necessary medical treatment.
Arnie is on a steroid medication for allergies and has started an elimination diet. His ears are currently clear of infection, but may experience recurring ear infections in future. Also medicated to assist with his anxiety.
