Cesar

Cesar is a gentle Husky x probably malamute who you will fall in love with at first sight! So gentle and loving, he adores his people and always wants to be near them. Be warned - he’s a talker and will have lots to contribute to conversations! If you know the breed they are such chatter boxes and Cesar is no exception !

Car

Cesar enjoyed the trips we’ve taken so far, and is always excited to get in the car. He seems to take a shining to utes so if his new home owns a ute, you can expect he’ll want to jump straight in there!

Walks

He pulls a little at the beginning due to excitement but nothing unmanageable - he is just a fast walker. He will always go cat spotting on the walks so must ensure we have a tight hold on the leash in case he spots one. Currently Caesar enjoys 2 x 30 min walks daily.

Food

Although Cesar will eat almost anything from your hand, he can be quite fussy with what’s in his bowl and will take his time to consume it (for example over 12- 24 hours). He loves bones and treats and will give you a sassy growl if he thinks he deserves one.

Obedience

Cesar responds well to direction, although being a chatty dog, he will talk back a little in resistance before following your command. He generally sits before or at command and likes to give his paw to hold/shake. He is extremely smart and wants to please

Indoor / Outdoor

When inside, Cesar is thrilled to be in and will generally plop himself on the floor near you and later take himself off to his mat. He generally comes in during the evening for tv time. He sleeps outside so has no issue when we tell him it’s bedtime and lead him outside (aside from the occasional sassy rebuttals). He has had no accidents whilst in the house.

He enjoys time in the yard when you are outside but is independent enough to be left alone. He initially howled when first arrived at his foster home when he was left alone, but this settled once he learnt our routines and became comfortable with staying outside whilst we were inside.

Socialisation

Cesar has met a few female dogs on our walks which he has successfully tested well with. He is very interested in dogs when out and about and could easily adapt to having a female companion or a similar temperament. Judging by his attentiveness to cats on our walks, I’d say he does NOT like them and therefore will not be looking to have a feline friend at his forever home.

Cesar loves children. He meet a lot of kids during a school pick up time and they were all over him and he LOVED the attention

Enrichment

Cesar has a bucket of toys that he’ll occasionally rummage through and find the right one to play with! He likes fetch but we cannot promise he’ll bring it back 10/10 - more like 5/10. He definitely will favour a squeaky toy until it no longer squeaks 😬

A home where he is included in activities both inside and out and treated as part of the family

A home with no cats or pocket pets
If children in the home they must be mature and dog savvy
A home commited to daily walks
If another dog in residence we seek a well soolased female of loving and kind nature who is med to large size
