About Jenga
💚🤍 Jenga 🤍💚
Jenga came into care with her two kittens Checkers and Cluedo. They have both found beautiful homes and now it’s Jenga’s turn.
Jenga needs a special kind of family. One that we know only comes along once in a blue moon.
You see, Jenga has had it tough, she’s been living rough on the streets for a while and is a bit nervous around new people. She probably won’t show you any love at her meet and greet. She’s nervous of strangers!
But when you give her some time, she is a chilled out mumma! Jenga is just part of the furniture here at Shelly’s Place HQ now. She fits in so seamlessly.
She accepts all the new cats and kittens that come and go, giving them an ear wash if they’ll let her close enough.
She’s not super keen on the dog! But as long as he gives her a wide berth she’s happy. If he accidentally gets too close she’ll remind him to back up with a hiss. She’d probably be fine with a calm dog if they had enough space to stay away from each other, but she’s not gonna be a canine bestie.
Jenga is a little nervous when you stand over her, but once she’s in your arms she’s happy to be there all day! She’s not one of those cats who wriggles to get down when you’re cuddling her. She’ll sit there for ages, soaking up all the head boops and chin scratches. She also loves to curl up on the couch and loves to sleep on the bed.
Jenga is quite happy living the cushy, indoor life and is ready to be loved and pampered as she deserves. She needs a patient family who will give her the time she needs to show her true personality.
For this reason, we’d love Jenga to be fostered before being adopted, so her new family can see her true self shine through.
Jenga is desexed, microchipped, 1st vaccinated, flea and worm treated and lifetime registered.

Adoption details
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption enquiry should be made via
https://form.jotform.com/shellys.place.rescue/adoption-enquiry
2. Once your application has been received, one of our volunteers will contact you for a phone interview. This is to determine whether one of our cats or kittens will be a good fit for your home. We all want long-term success in placing rescue animals, so finding the best fit for the animal AND the family is very important.
3. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place if the application is approved.
4. A Property check will take place via a video call (due to Covid restrictions). Once this has been successfully completed, adoption paperwork finalised and the adoption donation processed, the pet can be collected from foster care.
5. A 14 day settling-in period commences once the animal has been collected from foster care.
6. Adoption is finalised after 14 days. Paperwork/records will be included in an adoption pack.
7. All animals for adoption are kept up to date with vet work until the date of adoption. The pet will be rehomed desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and treated monthly for fleas and intestinal worms. Once the adoption is finalised, the new owners are responsible for all vaccinations and preventative treatments.
As we are run entirely of volunteers we endeavour to respond to your enquiry as soon as we can. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to hold any animals. Please only apply if you are ready to adopt now.
