About Monte
🍪🍫 Monte 🍫🍪
Monte came in as a stray with his 5 brothers and sisters. He is as sweet as the chocolate bikky he is named after!
Monte is a vocal little fellow, he will tell you all about it before you even ask! He loves a cuddle and thrives on being close to you, he’ll often come and give you a nudge under the chin before coming in for a pat, then will happily spend the afternoon in your lap.
Monte’s handsome black and white features are hard to resist. He is inquisitive but loves coming back to his human for security and reassurance. He enjoys playing with his siblings, especially running laps of the couch and has found out how to successfully ambush his sisters; lying in wait for them to sneak past before pouncing playfully.
Monte is definitely a ‘people cat’ and would thrive in a home where he will get lots of attention. He would also be happy during the day where he has a fellow kitten to snuggle and play with.
Monte is wonderful around children! His human foster siblings love giving him cuddles and Monte knows if he has had enough because he tells her politely, “Miaoow!” Monty will make a purrfect addition to any family!
All of our cats and kittens are desexed, microchipped, 1st vaccinated, flea and worm treated and lifetime registered at the time of adoption.

Adoption details
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption enquiry should be made via
https://form.jotform.com/shellys.place.rescue/adoption-enquiry
2. Once your application has been received, one of our volunteers will contact you for a phone interview. This is to determine whether one of our cats or kittens will be a good fit for your home. We all want long-term success in placing rescue animals, so finding the best fit for the animal AND the family is very important.
3. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place if the application is approved.
4. A Property check will take place via a video call (due to Covid restrictions). Once this has been successfully completed, adoption paperwork finalised and the adoption donation processed, the pet can be collected from foster care.
5. A 14 day settling-in period commences once the animal has been collected from foster care.
6. Adoption is finalised after 14 days. Paperwork/records will be included in an adoption pack.
7. All animals for adoption are kept up to date with vet work until the date of adoption. The pet will be rehomed desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and treated monthly for fleas and intestinal worms. Once the adoption is finalised, the new owners are responsible for all vaccinations and preventative treatments.
As we are run entirely of volunteers we endeavour to respond to your enquiry as soon as we can. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to hold any animals. Please only apply if you are ready to adopt now.
