Calling all poodle lovers, Orinoco is an absolute gem.

Before coming to SODR he spent his life as an outside dog. His eyes and teeth were in terrible condition. Being the little legend he is, he’s transitioned perfectly into pampered pooch life.

Sweet Orinoco is now toilet trained, sleeps through the night snuggled on his foster carers bed and has excellent recall. He’s an active little chap who loves walkies, chasing his ball as well as a snuggle on the sofa. Orinoco loves other dogs, happily living within a large resident dog pack of all shapes and sizes. No cats though please, he chases them! Whilst this handsome poodle hasn’t met kids, we think he would be ok in a home with older children (8yrs and above).

Orinoco’s ideal home;

-Someone with an understanding of the condition of Dry Eye, and the commitment to to keeping on top of this. He is being currently being treated for Dry Eye, and has his eyes have made huge a improvement. Ointment is being administered to his eyes twice a day with no dramas. Dry Eye may or may not require ongoing medication for the future.

—Someone home a lot. He’s a typical needy poodle who doesn’t like being left alone for long periods of time. He goes to work with his foster carer and has spent little time by himself.

-Ideally a home with a doggy friend or 2. He has been left for up to 3-4hrs with the resident dog pack and this has alleviated some of his anxiety about being left by his human. He could be an only dog if his human is home most of the time and has a plan in place for times when they are not home.

-Someone with an understanding of a poodle coat and commitment to regular grooming and the ongoing costs that may entail.
