Meet Gustavo, also known as Gus, also known as the Big Chungus! Gustavo was brought to the shelter as a very scared and battered cat (his poor ears!). It took him a few days to gather this bearings, and then he became a very food focussed and attention seeking cat. He has a very sweet meow, one wouldn't expect out of such a big cat, and he has a real soft spot for chin and head scratches. Gustavo can still be quite cautious and nervous, especially in new environments, and will be his absolute best in a calm and relaxed home. He has never met kids before, and will be best suited to a home either without children, or with teenagers. In his travels as a stray he has contracted FIV, and through his behaviour noted at the shelter and the stories told by his scars, he will be better in an indoor only home without other pets.
