About Shiitake
*In foster care in Rozelle*
Shiitake is a curious girl who loves playing with her cat and human friends. She has loved exploring the house once settled in and has welcomed several foster cat brothers and sisters into the home. When playtime with her favourite hair elastic toy starts she loves alternating between chasing then stretching out long on the ground. Shiitake also loves her treats, and will wait patiently outside the fridge for a lick of Dine or a small piece of smoked trout (her favourite!) When she's exhausted herself from playing she will usually be found curled up in a cat bed with a foster sibling or watching the world go by from a window.
My ideal home: Space to play with another feline friend. I take a while to settle into a new house and don't generally like being picked up, but like gentle pats on the couch when I'm in the mood! I also love other cats and would be the perfect companion.
My energy level: I love playing with my feline friends and will usually match their energy levels during playtime. I can be found napping during the day and play morning and night.
My suitability to children: I haven't met many children but I'm sure I will get along with them if they are gentle
My suitability to other cats or dogs: I love hanging out with other cats - I've lived with 6 other cats during my foster care and have enjoyed playing with all of them.

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
