Nanook is an absolute sweetheart!
This beautiful boy has such a beautiful nature and absolutely loves being around humans and dogs. Everyone who meets him just loves him.
He has come into care not having much training at all, but he has quickly learnt sit and stay. Nanook is so eager to please you and picks up commands quickly (especially if treats are available). He is highly food motivated.
Nanook is currently at home during the day whilst his carer is at work, and whilst he is ok by himself, he does get bored easily so will entertain himself with whatever is lying around. When you do get home, he is so excited to see you so will jump up, but he is so gentle. He is learning he should not be doing this and understands when he has done something wrong. He loves his humans and is so affectionate, so ideally he will go to a home where he has a bit more company during the day. As he is still a little jumpy, he is best to go to a home where any children are over 12 years old.
Nanook is a little too interested in cats, so best he have a cat free home. He is toilet trained.
Nanook is new to the leash walking world, so he is learning and doing well. However, when he hears or sees a dog, he starts dancing around, giving Michael Jackson a run for his money! Nanook just desperately wants to say hello - it would be rude not to! He is still learning calmness whilst on leash. Having a trainer out to assist in this training will be highly beneficial. At home, with another dog he is a lot calmer.
Nanook is quite majestic with his long legs, prancing from a walk to a trot. He's a sight to watch.
Nanook would highly benefit from ongoing training. A routine would also help curb his excitability when out in the world. At home, this boy is so gentle and affectionate. He would love a home where he receives lots of cuddles!
