About Luffy
MEET LUFFY
Luffy is approximately 12 weeks old, she is a gorgeous medium haired black and white female, desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and ready for her forever home.
Luffy was 1 of 4 kittens and 2 adults we rescued off facebook, the family of 6 cats were being given away for free without any vet work so of course we had to take them all in and get them all desexed and healthy! None of the 6 kitties were handled or loved so they came to us in a fearful state and sometimes still flinch when being touched. In the 3 weeks we have had them however they have all come along so far and showing us their beautiful personalities and we are so proud of them and excited for them to find their forever homes.
Luffy's sister has since been adopted, adapted and settled in well to her new forever home within days!
Luffy is a sensitive & shy little girl BUT once she knows you are going to be kind and show her some affection, she gets the purr going and happily smooches all over you, asking for more pats! She loves back scratches and has started following me around the house, meowing for attention (so I think she might be a talker!) Luffy really enjoys the company of other cats so we would like to find her a home with another young, playful kitty for her to bond with (she can be adopted alongside a sibling) however she can go as an only cat as long as her humans are home often enough to spend time with her, she doesn't like to be left alone (this will likely get better as she ages)
Little kids, dogs and loud environments are still too much for Luffy, she really needs to find a patient and understanding home thats going to be OK to give her as much time as she needs to feel comfortable and safe again which may be a couple of weeks, you must be slow, gentle and kind to Luffy whilst she's still learning that her humans love her and she is safe.
Luffy LOVES to play, her favourite is the tunnel she charges through and she enjoys climbing her kitty tower so lots of toys and dedicated play time are a must! She will blossom into a very sweet and loving little cat in the right, loving and safe home.
*Luffy must go to an INDOOR ONLY home for life, please only apply for her if this is suitable for your household.

Medical notes
Luffy is a growing young kitten and came to us underweight & as such she requires a premium quality kitten diet such as Royal Canin, Hills Science Diet or Advance (she is currently eating Royal Canin & Advance) She has access to dry food at all times and is given a pouch of wet kitten food for dinner, she does love her food and enjoys treats.

Thank you for your interest in a rescue cat! They can make the most wonderful friends and family members.
Our rescue cats have varied histories and stories and as such they each require a different home environment, we ask prospective adopters a series of questions aimed at making the perfect match so please dont be offended when asked questions. We do not adopt to a first in first serve basis and only adopt to the most suitable home possible. If you are outside Ballarat we ask that you make time to have a 30 minute video-chat with us and the kitty you are interested in so we can get to know you a little better and you can see the kitty in its home environment before coming up to Ballarat to adopt, if you are local then we hold a meet and greet at the foster home of the kitty. We only offer video chats and meet and greets to the most suitable homes.
All of our cats at Cat Lovers Ballarat are rehomed as strictly INDOOR ONLY cats and we ask that all prospective adopters only apply if they are capable and comfortable with this.
Please have patience with us as we go through all applications and make our decisions to move onto phase 2 and offer meet and greets, this can take days and sometimes a week to go through, you will be contacted whether you are successful or not.
