About Floyd
Hey, Floyd here. I can't understand why people just scroll past me, while so many of my shelter mates find their forever tribe. I'm well socialised and a great help here at the RSPCA Wacol Call Centre, but of course that is not a long-term career for someone like me.
I'm looking for my forever home and family. I am a gentle, affectionate boy who enjoys being around his people. I can be unsure at times, especially with loud noises, so I need to go slow and be allowed slow introductions when I'm feeling worried or overwhelmed; I am a sensitive lad. My ideal home would be with someone around most of the time, as I can be anxious when left alone for too long. I thrive on human contact and being included in family life.
Please let me stay indoors with you. I know some basic commands and am gentle with all interactions, although I can get boisterous when I play. I will make a great companion and will likely enjoy curling up on the couch in the evenings. Please feed me my meals from enrichment containers.
I'm suited for children from primary school-age upwards, to meet at time of adoption. I also must meet other dogs at time of adoption and am best suited to a social and playful female. I can initially be reactive when I see other dogs and can get frustrated, so I would do best with a quick controlled introduction.
Keeping my paws crossed to find my forever tribe soon - I would even consider leaving my squeaky toy behind for the RSPCA Call Centre staff...
