About MG
There is no better all-rounder than MG!
MG is one of the most affectionate dogs you will ever meet. He is super cuddly, and he will always manage to get himself into the optimum cuddle position without being pushy. MG is without a doubt a snuggler and is usually found curled up touching his humans or spooning his doggy friend in one bed or another. When he is having nap time you will usually catch him sleeping belly up, completely chilled out. Despite being an active and adventurous boy when it’s time to get out and about, he is happy for morning sleep ins and to have a lazy day hanging around the house with you. MG is very social with everyone he meets, including children, and is quick to win people over with his charms.
This boy has an amazing personality that is joyful and bound to put a smile on your face. MG is a really funny boy who loves to rest his head on everything and anything, giving you adorable puppy dog eyes at the same time. He is extremely willing to please and is super comfortable with being touched so he has no issues with things like having his nails cut. Around the home MG has great manners. He is toilet trained, crate trained, and he also loves to go for trips in the car making him a great travel companion.
While in foster care, MG has been living with another medium sized dog. The two are great friends and have lots of fun together rumbling and playing chasies. MG has been going on pack walks with a range of other dogs and has made lots of friends. He is very social with all the dogs he meets - it doesn’t matter if they are jumpy puppies, grumpy old dogs or those who are really keen to romp and play. The only times he is not comfortable with another dog is if it is coming directly head on towards him on lead (due to previously having had an off-lead dog charge at him) and dogs barking behind fences are off putting for him when he is walking past. When given space to meet new dogs, particularly if being able to go for a walk with them, he is more than happy to make new friends and have some fun.
MG is Mr Adventure! He has been extremely lucky to accompany his foster carers on lots of fun outings such as camping, kayaking, fishing, boating, etc. MG is an amazing dog to take out and explore nature with. He loves exploring the new environments and enjoys the breeze in his face. During the week, he’s living in the inner west and has frequented cafes and pubs during quieter times where he has excellent doggy manners settling quietly by the table. He also goes for walks around Darling Harbour and the city.
MG is more than happy to be a pet dog; however, he has the potential to be involved in dog sports if you were interested. His foster carers have discovered his love for tug, spring pole and flirt poles so he would be well suited to GRC sports or lure coursing sports. MG has now competed in his first lure coursing competition and he passed both runs to gain a Junior Courser Qualification - complete with ribbon and certificate. He absolutely loves lure coursing and is primed ready to continue on with this sport if his new owner would like to. However, at the end of the day he will be more than happy with a loving home, snuggles on the couch and some fun adventures.
During his time in care, MG has absolutely thrived and excelled with his training activities. He is food motivated and very willing to please. He has mastered basic training such as sit, down, shake, stay, give, look at me and waiting for his meals. MG has good recall but if there is something interesting to chase like birds or possums then he will prioritize that. His carer manages this by keeping him on a long line at the park just in case. Even when playing tug, he knows when to give and sit and wait until the next round begins. At home, he is not a chewer, doesn’t destroy things and is not a barker so is a pleasure to have around.
We are looking for a dog experienced home where MG will be included as part of the family and included in all the fun. He would ideally like a home with another medium to large sized friendly dog who would be happy to share their bed, but he can live as an only dog. MG is looking for a home with a yard to play in (no units please) but will need to be allowed inside to be with the family as well. He will also need a comfy bed inside to sleep on at night. MG has previously successfully lived with dog friendly cats but is not suitable to a home with pocket pets. Whoever adopts this stunning dog will be in for a world of fun and many, many cuddles.
If you would like to make beautiful MG a part of your family, then please complete a Dog Adoption Enquiry form on the Fetching Dogs website as the next step. Make sure to include plenty of detail about the type of home and lifestyle you can offer him.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
