About Bronson - Located in Preston
Bronson is the sweetest guy in town. All he wants is a lap or couch to call his own. Bronson does have diabetes and gets twice daily injections he is such a patient boy and they are so easy to administer that he just sits calmly while you give him his injections, as long as food or snuggles are offered in exchange.
Bronson is happiest when his people are with him. He loves nothing more than a good cuddle session and if you are busy he is happy in a cat cave or on the couch waiting for the next cuddle session. He will respond with cute little chirps when you call his name just to let you know where he is.
Bronson is a great companion and loves to be around people. He is very social and loves to be petted and brushed. He is also very playful and loves to chase toys and explore. He is a great addition to any home and will bring lots of love and joy.

Adopting a diabetic cat can be a wonderful and rewarding experience. Here are some reasons why adopting a diabetic cat can be a good idea:
Giving a cat a loving home: By adopting a diabetic cat, you are giving them a second chance at a happy and healthy life. Many diabetic cats are surrendered to shelters because their owners cannot afford their medical treatment, and by adopting them, you are providing them with a loving home.
Learn about diabetes management: Adopting a diabetic cat can also help you learn about diabetes management in cats. You'll gain valuable experience in monitoring their blood sugar levels, administering insulin injections, and managing their diet.
Reduce euthanasia rates: Diabetic cats are often euthanized in shelters because they require extra care and attention. By adopting a diabetic cat, you are helping to reduce euthanasia rates and give them a chance to live a happy and healthy life.
Develop a strong bond: Adopting a cat with a medical condition like diabetes requires patience, dedication, and commitment. By taking on this responsibility, you can develop a strong bond with your cat, and the love and affection they will give you in return will be immeasurable.
Overall, adopting a diabetic cat can be a fulfilling and rewarding experience, both for the cat and the owner. It requires extra effort and dedication, but the love and companionship that you'll receive in return are well worth it.

Medical notes
Bronson has diabetes, he requires a strict quantity controlled diet of Hills MD and insulin injections every 12 hours. He is extremely well behaved for his injections which as super easy to do and lessons will be provided to new owners. He may require vet checks and blood tests every 3-6 months to monitor.
The good news is cats with diabetes can go into remission! So he may not need to be on insulin for life. He currently has a condition called diabetic neuropathy. Prior to coming into care his diabetes was not well controlled and the high amounts of glucose in his blood have damaged the nerves. His femoral nerve has been affected which makes him walk on his hocks.
Provided his diabetes is well controlled his vets are hopefully the condition will be reversed over the next 6-12 months. He may not go back to walking perfectly on his feet again, but it is not painful and he is still happy to jump and play. We do recommend he is indoor only to ensure his diet is controlled and to protect his legs from rough damaging surfaces.
