About Koda DL2911
Koda is a beautiful young Tibetan Mastiff X Akita girl on the search for her perfect home.
Tibetan Mastiffs and Akitas are known for being aloof, independent, intelligent, and strong-willed, with a protective instinct in their nature. A large, strong dog like Koda will need a confident, sensible, and experienced owner with the ability to further her training. These breeds are not suited to a novice dog handler.
With her family, Koda is a gentle, cuddly bear who loves peanut butter and going on long walks. She enjoys walking daily, weather permitting, and walks well on lead. Socially, she has been sweet and well behaved meeting people of all ages, and is friendly meeting other dogs, though her large size can intimidate smaller dogs.
Koda is happy spending much of her time indoors with you, but she thoroughly enjoys tug of war and games of fetch, so will need a big secure yard with plenty of room to play. She does experience some separation anxiety, so will best suit someone home more often who can work on this with her.
Koda already knows how to sit, stay, and shake paw. She is a clever dog and will need plenty of mental stimulation to combat boredom. She's becoming more and more energetic and her puppy playfulness is really coming out now. She gets very excited when you come home and wants to jump up for kisses then run around the yard in excitement.
Koda is looking for an adult-only household without other pets. She is not suited to living with kids or dogs, and hasn't been tested with cats. She'll also need regular brushing and grooming to maintain her fluffy coat.
If you tick all the boxes for Koda and would love to adopt her, contact DFL today to apply!
Medical notes
At approximately 40kg, Koda is a large adult dog.
