About Nova
Meet Nova - the sweetest cattle dog in existence.
Nova came to SCAR from a pound facility. She was born deaf - but this has no effect on her love for life.
Nova is a happy-go-lucky girl with a cheeky smile and heart full of love. Nova loves to make dog friends, go for walks, swim in lakes and play with her toys.
If you already have a neutered male dog that would like to play and share their home with Nova, she would love a companion. Nova would be best suited in a home with a large yard and an active family.
She is still getting used to the novelties of being a pet dog, so will need her family to be patient with her while she learns the routines/comings and goings of her people, as well as some independence training when left alone.
Nova has learnt sign language for sit and we have been teaching her that "good girl" is a thumbs up from her people! Nova love playing fetch with her toys and throwing them around to herself.
Nova spent some time in foster where her carers hearts were completely melted by Novas charm. She would always find the funniest positions to sleep in and when they pat her, she will cradle her head in their hands.
**Application Process** When on the Pet Rescue profile push the "enquire about this pet" button. Follow the prompts to "send enquiry now" and in the message section please place information about the home you can provide. Include current/past pets and their breed, children including ages that live with you or visit, and any other information relevant to training/exercise/energy requirements. The information you provide helps us match the dog you've applied for to the most suitable home. We use this information in lieu of an application form. We do not take applications for dogs over the phone. We aim to reply to all applications within 5 business days. All of our dog meet and greets occur at the adoption center in Craigieburn. The majority of our dogs are in a foster home not at the shelter so you need to apply via the website to meet them. Thank you. www.secondchanceanimalrescue.com.au ...because they all deserve one!
