Bandit is a gorgeous active boy who just loves to run and play. He is good with other dogs and hasn’t shown much interest in cats whilst being in care, though If they ran, I think he would chase them!

Bandit knows basic commands and is eager to learn, especially if food is involved!
He would benefit from ongoing training to help him grown into a well mannered boy and to keep him mentally stimulated.
We believe that Bandit has in the past, been taught that hands are toys and although he is gentle, he does mouth his humans when he is over excited. This is also a common behaviour with cattle dogs. We are working on breaking this habit, though this is something his new family will need to keep working on. Because of this naughty habit, he isn’t suitable to a home with young children.

Bandit is good in the car and has been doing well walking on the lead, he does love to go on an adventure!

Bandit is a quiet and very affectionate boy once he gets to know you. He can be cautious of new people and needs a little time to work out that you aren’t scary, though once he knows you, he’s a pleasure to have around.

Bandit is crate trained, sleeping inside in his crate and appears to be toilet trained, he’s had no accidents.

When Bandit came to us, he required life saving surgery to remove a rope toy that was stuck in his intestines. Bandit has recovered from his surgery and is doing great! Given he has eaten a rope toy in the past, we would definitely recommend more durable toys for this young playful boy.
