About Will
Hi there, my name is Will and I am one handsome boy!
I have been well socialised around other dogs since i was a puppy and would be better suited to a family with another dog for me to play with and keep me entertained.
I love the cats, I definitely don’t try to hurt them but I do tend to chase them and have no concept of how big I am so I need to be supervised with them at least until we get comfortable together.
I adore people and love a big hugs, it makes me feel safe and loved, so don’t forget to hug me every day. I have not spent any time around children, but I have a very gentle personality so would believe I would be fine.
I absolutely love people and firmly believe I am a lap dog despite being 33.6kgs. My previous home had a child in it and whilst I wasn’t unsuitable around them it’s to be noted I am high energy and unaware of my size so it’s better for me to be in a home with older children who are not as easily knocked over.
I can also still be quite mouthy. It doesn’t hurt at all, and my no means is it biting, but I do tend to try and catch hands with my mouth at times. My foster mum is working on this, but I just get so excited and lead with my mouth at all times.
I can sit, lay down (mostly with the encouragement of treats or food). I will sit and ‘wait’ for my dinner, only eating when foster mum says‘take it’. I’m very good at it already, even when foster mum walks away from me. I learn very quickly. I get very excitable on the lead and I am quite strong, so this is something I am working on still.
I like all toys! And things that aren’t toys if they’re left laying around. I especially like rope toys and stuffed toys, especially gutting them. I don’t really understand fetch, mostly my furry foster sister chases the ball and I chases her! So it’s still a work in progress.
I’m great with my toileting. I had one little accident inside but this was due to being restricted from getting outside. This hasn’t happened since.
