Taco

Taco is your typical Jack Russell Terrier: little dog with a big attitude! As with most JRT's he also super smart and learning quickly!

Taco will sit and stay on command and will need someone who is willing to put in some time to complete his puppy training.

He is eager to please his humans and tries hard to be the goodest boi! He tilts his head to the side when he's listening, add to that beautiful, brown puppy eyes and you're hooked!

He does like to steal small clothing items and take them back to his bed for safe keeping and snuggling.

He has lived with a sociable and sensible four year old dog and is learning what's acceptable behaviour. He is also keen to interact with cats but the feeling is not mutual. He would do best with super chilled, tolerant cats or none at all.

Taco LOVES to go for walks and investigate the world, and is great with traffic and busy environments, although he hasn't met many dogs outside of the shelter.

He is super happy and playful so needs a family that can accommodate his need to burn energy. Chew toys are a must, he is a puppy after all!

Taco's adoption includes a 1-hour 1-1 training session with our trainer here at SCAR

**Application Process** When on the Pet Rescue profile push the "enquire about this pet" button. Follow the prompts to "send enquiry now" and in the message section please place information about the home you can provide. Include current/past pets and their breed, children including ages that live with you or visit, and any other information relevant to training/exercise/energy requirements. The information you provide helps us match the dog you've applied for to the most suitable home. We use this information in lieu of an application form. We do not take applications for dogs over the phone. We aim to reply to all applications within 5 business days. All of our dog meet and greets occur at the adoption center in Craigieburn. The majority of our dogs are in a foster home not at the shelter so you need to apply via the website to meet them.
