My name is Cashew, like the nut but a lot sweeter! My carer says I am beautiful and bouncy and love people and dogs. She is right on all counts! I may be small with short legs, but I have a big heart and it can be all yours if you take me home with you. I may be small in stature but I am big on loving; I love company, human or dogs and I am social dog for all to see. Not many vices either. My carer says I sleep through the night, eat everything put in front of me and travel well in the car. I will walk on the lead and am good with other dogs, in fact I really like having other dogs around or I get lonely. When asked to describe me in one word, without hesitation the word 'cute' was being bandied about. Want to know more about how you teach a pup to be a great dog? I'd like to do training every day so that I learn the commands of sit, stay, come, down, no, stop and leave it. And once I've learnt them, I need to keep practicing them every day too. That way I'll learn to obey what you tell me to do. Being consistent and clear with your boundaries will mean I always know the right way to behave. Getting out to exercise at least once a day (and twice for working dog breeds) is vital to stimulate my brain and body. It creates important opportunities for me to meet strangers, other dogs and other animals, plus it tires me out! Tell me ""no"" if I'm chewing something I shouldn't and give me a chew toy instead. I'd love to have a range of chew toys that you can swap around so I don't get bored with them.
