About Rubble
This lovely looking boy is in need of a home to call home! Weighing in at approx 33kg, Rubble is a super strong boy on lead so his new owners will need to be equally strong to manage his enthusiasm for getting out and about.
Rubble is a Retreiver x ? Boy and at 6 years old, his socialisation skills still need work. He has not been well socialised with other dogs and is very jumpy towards them atm. He currently walks on a halty lead and still pulls you along, he is very focused on other dogs on a walk so ongoing training will be required to manage and improve this.
On the flip side, he’s a gorgeous, friendly and smoochy dog at home. He loves to curl up with you on the lounge or bed, play tug-o-war and be involved with what ever is going on.
Rubble is currently in care with a retriever boy and they generally play well together but he can be a bit too strong and controlling sometimes so if there is another dog in the home, it needs to be of a similar size and weight and have a more submissive nature.
Rubble is fine around kids, however he does have quite a stubborn nature and can be tuff to budge if he doesn’t want too, so a home without small children is a better fit for this impressive lad.
Rubble is in temporary foster care atm and whilst the carers have enjoyed having him, they cannot continue to care for him so if you are interested in fostering, please apply.
Rubble is definitely not cat friendly.

Please be aware that Paws and Recover is run by volunteers who also work. We endeavour to answer enquires as quickly as possible. Some animals will inevitably be very popular and will generate many enquires. Where there is a high volume of enquires received, it will be our priority to contact those that best fit the requirements of the animal. This may mean that it is not possible for all enquires to be answered. Please keep an eye on the website for all updates.
Providing quality information as a part of your enquiry including information about your home environment, family, work hours, other pets and what you are looking for in a companion animal along with what you can offer one will greatly assist.
Please always provide a contact phone number as a part of your enquiry.
