NOTE: You are unable to meet MK until/unless you have been notified that you are a successful applicant. An adoption cannot be approved unless you are able to come to the shelter to meet MK in person and bring any dogs you currently have with you.

• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• To be allowed inside with my family
• A doggie playmate my size who is gentle and calm may be okay as large boisterous dogs scare me so I will require lots of socialisation with positive experiences with other dogs.
• A cat may be ok with a slow introduction.
• I like both friendly male and female dogs my size.
• Secure Fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent)
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
• A diet of good quality dry food to help keep my teeth clean
• Lots of love and attention
• I LOVE water and would love to have my very own clam pool to laze around in.
• Being a social and playful pupper I would love to go to doggy daycare
• I can be shy at first so I need a family who'll allow me to grow in confidence in my own time
• I have lots of energy so an active family is a must
• TRAINING TRAINING TRAINING. It's ESSENTIAL I receive training in all aspects of my life so I can be the best dog I can be when I'm older.
• I LOVE food so training me with positive food rewards should have the best outcomes for me.

Things that I don't want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
• Rabbits, guinea pigs & fowl as I may find them fun to chase

My best features:
• Very playful
• Wiggle butt
• Highly food motivated
• I love attention and having snuggles with my humans
• Happy to hang out with other friendly dogs
• Social butterfly
• Exuberant & full of beans
• I am VERY scent driven (due to my breed) and would excel at scent driven games & training.
• I LOVE the water and will splash about in my water bowl, play with the hose and swim in the basin/river
• I love toys especially my ball, playing fetch and tug rope

Where I need to improve / Training required
• I will require full basic training as I've had no training experience yet
• I am shy at first with new people and in new environments so will require a family who will take their time allowing me to settle in and continue on with my socialization
• I do walk quite well on the lead once settled, however I can pull if something interests me and can be quite skittish if startled so walking in a harness is recommended
• I love my food so using that as a positive reward should make my training easier.
• I can be a bit bouncy -training should stop this
• I may show signs of anxiety when I'm left alone in the backyard. Leaving me some enrichment toys/treats may help this.
• I appear to be quiet vocal at times when left alone - a family who has a lot of time for me, allow me indoors and leave me with lots of mental enrichment when home alone is recommended

Extras
• My previous owner said that I used to sometimes dig when left in the yard on my own! It would be extremely beneficial for me to go to a home with another dog to help with my confidence.
