About Grace
Please note: Grace will ideally be rehomed to a family with another similar sized dog to help her feel confident. No apartments please.
My name is Grace. I also go by Gracie or Cheeky Chops
I am a big girl with super model legs. I am really very pretty and I know it! Please note I am expected to be 50kg or over when I am fully grown.
I love lots of attention. I think I'm a lap dog although I am very big. I am very calm and docile but I do have a cheeky puppy streak.
I love stealing shoes and socks but if you ask nicely I am happy to give them back to you straight away.
I am still working on toilet training but I am trying very hard.
At night I like to sleep beside you on my bed.
I love to play with toys, especially tug of war toys. I am learning to bring a ball back.
I enjoy playing outside and scratching my back on tress. I have lots of fun doing zoomies in the back yard.....especially with one of your shoes in my mouth!!
I have started learning to walk on the lead. I love all of the different smells.
I sit nicely in the car although I am not really a big fan of car trips.
I enjoy meeting new people.
My tail doesn't just wag - my entire bum does!!
My tail is always wagging as I am such a happy girl.
I love my food so I will be happy to learn new tricks. I can sit and am learning to shake but I will need some extra training from you.
The SCAR team think that I will do well in a variety of homes, with a family who LOVE huge dogs, as I am a big girl already and growing every day.
I'd love a dog friend and am calm enough that I could probably make friends with a kitty too, given a slow and appropriate introduction.
**Application Process** When on the Pet Rescue profile push the "enquire about this pet" button. Follow the prompts to "send enquiry now" and in the message section please place information about the home you can provide. Include current/past pets and their breed, children including ages that live with you or visit, and any other information relevant to training/exercise/energy requirements. The information you provide helps us match the dog you've applied for to the most suitable home. We use this information in lieu of an application form. We do not take applications for dogs over the phone. We aim to reply to all applications within 5 business days. All of our dog meet and greets occur at the adoption center in Craigieburn. The majority of our dogs are in a foster home not at the shelter so you need to apply via the website to meet them. Thank you. www.secondchanceanimalrescue.com.au ...because they all deserve one!
