About Simba
*In foster care in Stanmore, Sydney*
Simba is a confident and playful kitten full of Big Ginger Energy! He adapts quickly to change, and doesn't hesitate when introduced to new people or environments.
A mischief-maker at heart, Simba has a strong 'play drive' and can't resist the thrill of a good chase! His favourite toys are wands and balls with bells in them, although he's not fussy - even a pile of clothes on the floor or helping to make the bed is a most excellent game!
One he's worn himself out, Simba is a champion napper and has a deep, contented purr when patted just right :) He loves to jump up on the couch for a cuddle, and settle into the gap behind you on an office chair while you work. Simba also loves to get cosy with you in bed overnight, although in the morning he does think moving feet under the sheets are made for pouncing on!
Like all Maggie's pets, Simba is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: Because I enjoy following you around the house and keeping a close eye on your activities, I'd best suit someone who is home at least some of the time - especially in the evenings when I like to play! I'm the purrfect work-from-home colleague too and will help you with your cable management systems should you need it :)
I'm still learning how to play nicely, but I'm working hard on that and making great strides. For now I'll be a good match with adults-only households or families with older children.
Being so outgoing and somewhat dominant by nature, I'll be happiest as the only cat in your life - though I'd be quite pleased to live with a larger doggy friend!
MY ENERGY LEVEL: Fairly typical for a kitten, really - after spending most of the day snoozing, I wake up full of energy and love lots of games, romping and racing around in the evening! I'll need at least one good bout of interactive play with my human every day. The good news is that I can make a game out of anything - plastic bags, clothes and sheets are just as awesome as jingly balls and lasers! (Don't let me use plastic bags unsupervised, though.)
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I'm looking for either an adults-only household or a family with older children (10+) who can handle my enthusiastic play style and provide me with all the playtime I need.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: Although I'm currently living with dogs and another cat, I would definitely thrive as an only cat or paired with a tolerant larger dog who doesn't mind being part of my tail-swatting games! I suppose it's possible that I could find a suitable feline friend, however I've displayed some dominant behaviour so it would need to be the right fit.

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
