Soli

This beauty is Soli, a 6-year-old female Great Dane. She is a clever girl who is quick to learn. Soli is super cuddly but may take some time to get relaxed with her new human.
Soli is a sensitive soul who does suffer separation anxiety. She isn’t suited to a full-time working home, and she will need time to adjust to being left on her own in a new home. Sleeping with her humans’ things with their scent seems to have given her some comfort when she’s on her own. While she’s not a fence jumper, she can be a bit of a Houdini and come look for you if she can, so she needs to be secured safely inside when left alone.
If Soli had it her way, she’d be with you ALL the time. She’ll hop up in the car ready to go anywhere with you and travels well. She is a good girl when given clear guidance meaning she is a dog that can come along to a lot of places with you. Her lead walking is fantastic, and she can walk with other dogs no problem at all, passing by most distractions with very minimal fuss. Off lead on the other hand isn’t something Soli can do safely around other dogs. On occasion she will take exception to another dog and is not compatible with small dogs.
Soli is a friendly girl and loves people, however smaller children have unnerved her before so we wouldn’t consider her with children unless they were teenagers.
Daily walks are essential, in fact for a 6-year-old, she’s still very energetic and loves a big walk every day. Cats are off limits for Soli, she is quick off the mark with her prey drive, and she’s also not suited to a home with a dog smaller than herself. She has lived with another Great Dane in the past and was pushy for all the attention and played with lots of Great Dane gusto. If we were to find another male Dane for her join, he’d need to be very happy to share his humans and be of equal energy level.
Soli is a real lady when she eats, nice and gentle. She naturally likes to watch her waistline choosing carrots and celery over many other doggy treats. Fluffy toys are her prize possessions, she’ll carry them around and curl up with them to sleep.
She is a real people’s pup and would become friendly with anyone because she adores human interaction. She will melt your heart and be your best friend.
Soli is a real gem that her new home will discover more and more as she settles in.
