Beorn is a happy boy , a puppy in pony size. He has a big loveable personality. Beorn has had no prior training coming into foster care and will certainly require a confident and dedicated person to continue working with him on his manners and reminding him of his size, he will try to jump up when excited to see you sometimes.

While in care he has been recovering from a wound therefore he has been crate trained with very limited walks around town. He has had to be walked on a harness due to his neck injury he couldn't wear a standard dog collar. Now his sutures are out he is ready to find his forever home. He is currently living with dog savvy tweens and large breed dogs. His play can be rough and excitable but not aggressive. He still has a lot to learn. He tends to bow/drop more than sit when asked. Fully toilet trained and uses the doggy door(just fits in/out) sleeps quietly all night in his extra large crate.

When left away from his humans for too long outside he will likely dig a spot to sleep in even though dog beds are available(still learning to use them).He is happy sleeping on a decking if he can see/hear you.

Ideally for Beorn a home with enough space for zoomies as he loves to bound around the garden now recovered. Another doggy companion would be great although he loves his humans maybe more. When he is relaxed you will find him at your feet asleep while you are preparing dinner or working on the computer. Oh note: due to his height he can reach all counter surfaces, so best not to leave any food out. He likes to put his head in the rubbish bin too. A firm "leave it" and he does. He has rubbed noses with our cat a few times. I feel if she was running he might chase her for a play as after all he is a Sighthound.
Overall we have loved having him stay with us, he has a lovely nature.
