About Zeke
Hi! I'm Zeke! If you're interested in a calm, quiet, gentle-giant, then I am the boy for you!
The team at the RSPCA love how I always keep my bed neat and tidy and how I never throw my weight around. I sit like a good boy when they're putting my lead on and I don't jump up on them. Despite the fact that I'm a quite large, I'm generally quite easy to walk (though I could do with a little more practice). The team here describes me as being very sweet.
I can be a bit timid around new people at first, so please let me approach them at my own pace and help me make positive associations by offering me treats in the meantime. Due to my shyness, I would prefer to go to a quiet, mature and consistent household with no young kids.
I have met a few doggy friends while at the shelter, but I can be a little unsure around some. It is important that my new owners introduce me to other dogs carefully while observing our body language closely to make sure we're both comfortable with the interaction. If you already have another dog at home, please bring them in for a matchup.
I need to go home with a family who is experienced with big dogs such as myself and who understands my needs as a large breed. I will also need to be in a home that will help give me some more training so I can perfect my manners when walking and when meeting other dogs.
Due to my friendly nature and love of people, I would love to go to a home that allows me to be inside and outside. I'd love to be able to quietly lounge around with my family.
