About Jake
Hi, My name is Jake! I was found in a shed at Mount Baker with my brother Finn and handed into a vet before being transferred to Hisses to Purrs.
I have loved my indoor life with my foster carer. I love purring loudly while getting pats but I'm still not sure of laps though. You can find me spending most of my day playing with toys and my brother Finn and foster sibling Jacko! Like Finn, wand toys are my favourite. I think they're the best to play with! I also love playing with my foster carer's 5 and 7 year old grand kids!
My dream home is with someone who can give me loads of attention and cuddles. I don't mind if there's another kitty friend or if I'm by myself. As long as I have lots of toys and pats I'll be your best friend! If I could go home with my brother Finn that would be even better!
Jake has been:
- Tried with 5 and 7 year old children and was fine with them
- Tried with cats and are great with them
- Untried with dogs (would prefer a home without dogs)
***To be kept indoors or with access to a secure enclose only***
Jake is approximately 5 months old and his adoption fee of $200 includes:
- Desexing
- 1st Vaccination
- Microchip
- Flea and worming treatments up to date of adoption
- Litter training
- Socialisation
- An adoption pack with some of his current wet and dry food, a carrier blanket, a set of toys and other goodies to get him started.
Jake is available to meet at his foster carer's home at Coromandel Valley.

Adoption details
Kittens and cats are adopted through their foster homes. Potential adopters are encouraged to contact Hisses to Purrs by phone, email or Facebook to arrange a meet and greet with the kitten they are interested in.
All kittens and cats are microchipped, vaccinated, desexed and parasite treated prior to adoption. There are no exceptions to this rule.
Pre-adoptions are available for adopters who wish to adopt a specific kitten or cat who has not reached weight for desexing, or who are awaiting their vet appointment. A minimum deposit can be made to pre-adopt a kitten awaiting their vet work. Kittens and cats remain in the care of Hisses to Purrs until desexing has occurred and in the case of female kittens and cats, until 5 days after desexing to give them time to heal.
All kittens and cats adopted through us must be kept indoors or have access to a secure cat enclosure. This is non-negotiable for the safety and health of our kittens and cats.
If you wish to adopt a cat or kitten, please fill out the adoption application form https://forms.gle/hadqmP3cVaDLviC9A
