Gatsby is a gentle giant weighing in at around 39kg and standing approximately 80cm tall. He is a calm, very loving boy and whilst he runs fast when he runs, he prefers to be on the couch snuggling with his people. He loves being inside with the family and will "talk" to you to let you know he wants to come in, but is also happy outside as long as he has a comfortable bed. A yard for zoomies would be welcome. Gatsby is able to spend some time alone, but would do best with a doggy companion to keep him company.

Gatsby sleeps inside on his bed all night without waking. He has terrible manners when it comes to food so should sleep in a contained environment where there is nothing he can get into at night time. The kitchen counter is absolutely within reach for this tall lad, who has also been known to drag a 15kg bag of dog food out of the laundry and take it to his bed for a "snack". He has loved sleeping on his bed at the foot of his foster mum and dad's bed.

Gatsby came with a nasty wound which has been vet checked twice and is healing very well, but he will have a scar on his leg as a result.

Gatsby is fully toilet trained and walks well on a lead, although he gets a little excited when he sees other dogs and would benefit from continued training. Other aspects of his training are a work in progress but he is a smart boy and in time would definitely learn the basics.

Gatsby has not been tested with cats, but is fantastic with dogs of all sizes. His obsession with food means that treats need to be given separately as that is the only time he may become a little possessive. Gatsby is lovely with children but due to his size may be best with school aged children or older.
