About Teenie Tiny
Introducing the sassy Teenie Tiny!
This little girl has absolutely melted our hearts. She is playful and funny and so very cuddly and we love her to bits.
This sweet and loving little girl is a Heeler x JRT weighing in at a mere 18 kilos so she's a smaller size med

Tiny has come in leaps and bounds in foster care and will only continue to thrive in a loving environment as she is such a happy and clever girl.
Tiny has been living in our foster home with resident big brother kelpie Blaze and foster sister feline lily. Tiny melded right in from the start! At the beginning Tiny would chase cat lily a little but with no aggression and once she had a sniff, she was happy to observe lily with no interference, they have even been observed sitting on the same chair together.
Tiny loves her food and is currently on Blackhawke morning and night with some prime mixed in at night. Tiny has been introduced to treats and now looks forward to one of these in the morning. These can be anything from liver snacks to steamed/roasted chicken and sometimes a little slice of cheese. Tiny gets very excited around mealtimes and shows her true puppy bounce when meals are being prepared. She has shown interest in foster brothersâ food, but with a warning bark she understands to back away. Depending on Tinyâs mood she can at times still run around with a treat in her mouth looking for somewhere to hide it until later, we believe this has sadly come from not knowing for sure when her next meal is coming, but something she is now doing less.
Tiny has had access to both indoors and outdoors all day and night through a doggy door. She has shown some tendencies to dig in the dirt but this has now stopped. Fences need to be checked for security and areas of concern and rectified for all doggies but would be an additional check for Tiny just in case until she settles and feels truly safe and at home. Tiny has been left alone outside (with foster brother) but does become quite anxious. She will bark and scratch on doors as she feels safer having access to the house and her humans when home.
When left outside alone Tiny can sometimes get a little puppish and chew things so we recommend when her family are not home she is not left unsupervised in the house
Tiny was toilet trained from the beginning and she has done well with toileting outside. Tiny will be taken outside just before bed and asked to âdo weesâ and she does so well. She can then sleep through the night with no incidences, Tiny should be taken straight out in the morning to repeat this until she becomes used to the routine.
Tiny has had a few trips in the car and although she needs to be harnessed for safety as all dogs should be, she does very well. She has only needed a few encouraging words and reassuring pats from us.
Tiny just loves to run and playâŠtrue to puppy form as she is only approx 12 months old. Tiny needs regular, daily walks. Tiny is still learning lead etiquette as she still pulls on the lead. You will need patience and a strong arm; we do not recommend children/teenagers walking Tiny until she improves on this. Tiny gets very excited when she sees other dogs and will pull and bark. Again, practice and training will be key to this. We do not see this as an aggressive reaction, merely excitement and curiosity, itâs a whole new world. When with foster brother she will chase and bounce in an initiation of play and truly understands 2-way play. It is beautiful to watch her interact in such a happy way with other dogs
Tiny loves meeting people! Big or small and is usually super gentle. If another dog is in the family, Tiny can get a little overzealous in wanting attention during these times so supervision during this time and finding a balance of attention is key.
Tiny has begun to learn commands of sit and has great recall to her name. She is quite obedient when told âTiny Noâ to stop her from doing something she shouldnât.
Tiny has spent every night in a foster-on-foster mums bed. She will nest in and curl up on foster mum's dressing gown at the end of her bed after a goodnight pat and cuddle and hardly moves until morning. Even if you wish to have a sleep in, she is more than happy for this to happen! Tiny loves her sleep. Tiny also loves to crawl up on the couch with you, nice and close and will lap up every touch she receives.
Tiny has so much love to give and is an absolute sweetheart. She has her foster carers smiling and swooning over her every day. Oh and lets not forget having us in hysterics when she is in full play mode with her foster brother and chattering her teeth together like a zombie from world war Z as a way of telling her bro its time for more shenanigans!
We believe Tiny will do well in most home environments, however there will be some things that are a must:
Teenie Tiny definitely needs another dog to keep her company as she would most probably have separation issues if left alone
The dog in residence needs to be a playful and well socialized male of med to large size who has great energy and loves to play chase
Tiny requires a nice size yard that is secure and has plenty of grass to play and do zoomies with her BFF
Tiny would do well with a single person or a couple, who a reasonably active, who will invest time in walking Tiny daily, socialising her and showing patience and kindness and a willingness to train her having manners on the lead and towards others (including dogs) on walks
Kids will be fine with Tiny if supervised as with all dogs, and as long as children respect Tiny still needs rest and will leave her alone to sleep when she chooses
A house where she has access in and out of the house at her choosing while her family is home
A warm bed to sleep â remembering Tiny feels safest next to her humans
Tiny will need enrichment through toys and puzzles
A family who includes her in on every aspect of their lives and do not leave her home alone for extended periods of time
