About Scooby ~ Rhodesian Ridgeback X(On trial 24/7/22)
Meet Scooby A 9 week old Rhodesian Ridgeback X. Scooby is very playful & extremely
affectionate, typical puppy.
Scooby loves to play with his foster sister Ava chasing her around the back yard,
although fails to catch her most of the time due to his clumsiness! Scooby also loves his
treats and will do anything to get them this has helped greatly with his training. Being a
puppy he does love slippers but is being taught to pick his squishy toys instead.
Since coming into care, Scooby has learnt to sit, lay down & crawl. Scooby hasn’t had
much experience with walking on a lead and will need further training with this however
is highly food motivated. Scooby isn’t quite fully toilet trained yet being only 9 weeks so
further training with this will be a must. He is however currently progressing with crate
training, which he picked up on very quickly.
Scooby’s forever family will need to have an active lifestyle and understand that he will
need lots of exercise and mental stimulation. Scooby gets along well with small dogs his
current size and would love a home with another dog however this isn’t essential. He
has shown apprehension with dogs bigger then him but this could be overcome easily
with a slow introduction & confidence building as he grows. Because he is only 9 weeks
Scooby would need to start off as an inside dog preferably crate trained.
Scooby would need someone that is home most of the time or works part time again due to his age and what comes with training a puppy. Due to Scooby’s breed a home with dog
confident children over the age of 10 is needed as he is going to be quite a large dog.
Scooby’s new home will need good fencing that is 6ft tall with no small gaps.
For more information on Scooby, please contact his foster carer on their email
ebs797@hotmail.com Scooby is in foster care in Chisholm, 2322, NSW.
Scooby’s adoption fee is $700 which includes all up to date vet work. He will have recieved his first vaccination (second is covered by the adoption fee), microchipping, worming and treatment for fleas as well. The adoption fee also covers his desexing.
As Scooby is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because he will need to be returned to a DRN approved vet for desexing when he is approximately 5/6 months old. Please NO out of area applications.
