Cute as a button is our sweet girl Pecan, someone needs to remind her that she’s getting on a little because she is still so full of playful energy! Pecan is all about those toys, nap time, walkies and being a total social butterfly. She also has impeccable leash manners.

Pecan is a bit of an independent girl who loves to give her humans the cutest little kisses. Pecan has met other breeds of dogs and we’ve had no issues at all, even with the tiniest of puppies she has been an absolute delight. She may be a little older than the others needing a forever home, but she still has a whole lot of love and joy ready to share with her new humans.

She would be suited to almost any housing situation, she does sometimes struggle to hold on for toilet time so regular outings if she’s kept in an apartment would be essential to make sure she doesn’t have accidents inside, she is an expert at the doggy door too so if you have a backyard she will happily go outside. Even though Pecan is a Greenhound approved doggo, she will still need to remain on her lead at all times while out as she doesn’t have a recall yet. I would recommend avoiding dog parks in the early days of her adjusting to her new family and to avoid her getting too overwhelmed.

If you’re looking for a sweetheart greyhound girl who is an absolute pleasure to be out on walks with, this is your gal. Pecan hasn’t shown any major signs of separation anxiety, but does tend to follow her humans to the toilet to make sure they’re not making a run for it. A home with another doggo friend would be ideal as she does get caught smooching her foster brother every now and then, but not essential if her human is home a lot to keep her company.
