About Harlee Girl
The beautiful Harlee Girl is now seeking her forever home.
With the one ear up and one down this girl is just a sweetheart
She is a sleek 19 month old Wolfhound who currently weighs in at 29 kilos and is more thickset than tall
Harlee is a well-behaved, eager to please young girl who has lots of playful energy. She is extremely happy to see you and appreciates all the time you offer her. She has a beautiful coat that is similar to wolfhounds but not of course. We have not noticed any shedding either which is a bonus but it is Winter so that's probably the reason One of her absolute favourite things is a good pat and scratch behind the ears. She is a very happy girl who always has a smile on her beautiful face but has a lethal tail!lol Her tail never stops wagging but is so strong it can hurt- bless her.
PLEASE CHECK YOUR SPAM AND JUNK FOLDERS FOR YOUR APPLICATION ONCE YOU HAVE SENT YOUR ENQUIRY
OBEDIENCE
Harlee will sit and shake hands for a treat but will need someone to continue with her training as consistency is key. She will get quite excited when she sees you and can jump up out of excitement. She is very eager to please and wants nothing more than your attention and praise. Harlee loves her walks, she can be strong on the lead but will listen to correction and then will walk alongside you- she needs someone willing to continue and commit to her ongoing training as once sheâs filled out she will be a strong girl. She loves running in the yard and will definitely need a big backyard. She will require someone to walk her every day. Harlee has been very well behaved in the backyard whilst in foster care, she has not shown signs of destruction eg digging, chewing or barking. She will however jump up at the back door if she knows your home in anticipation to see you.
ENRICHMENT
Harlee has great playful energy that will need regular exercise to ensure she doesnât find naughty ways to drain it. She rarely barks unless she hears something alarming or concerning. She will need stimulation and enrichment when alone for long periods, such as chewing on bones, pigs ears and toys.
SLEEPING
She has been sleeping outside under a large sheltered Alfresco room since in foster care and we havenât heard a peep from her- although she would love nothing more than to be inside with her family.
SOCIALISATION
Harlee has been in foster care with the resident senior dog, she can become over excited quickly with him though. She would definitely love a play mate to run and chase with. There are also resident cats in the home that she has seen through the glass door, she is quite inquisitive of them and likes to watch them. Harlee has walked through the house on a lead past them with no interest but we feel if outside and they ran she would definitely chase them so based on this w feel a non cat home would be better
As she is very playful and social we are looking for a home who will keep her well socialised and exercised.
FOOD
Harlee has been receiving two large meals a day that consists of dry fKibble
HYGIENE
Harlee has a beautiful thick coat which does require brushing maintenance regularly
TRAVEL/CAR
She needs no encouragement to get into a car, she bounces straight up and onto the seat. She travels like an angel and you donât hear a peep from her. Harlee Girl really enjoys a car trip so if your seeking a travel buddy she is the one
IDEAL HOME:
We feel The ideal home for Harlee Girl would be a home with a family that is regularly home and willing to include her in family activities. Harlee would probably prefer to be an inside dog with easy outside access, giving her the freedom to go about her day as she sees fit. Her family will need to invest time in her and ensure she has daily enrichment because she has lots of playful energy. She will need space as she loves to run so a decent yard is required. Harlee would love a k9 male friend (not essential)to play with and keep her company. She would love nothing more than to be inside with her family and follow them around wherever they go. She will make an amazing addition to any family and with the right training and commitment you will be rewarded with a priceless member to your family.
