About Cruiser
Cruiser is a sweet, 12 month old male dingo. Being a Dingo, he is quiet by nature and is also very alert to the world around him. He is timid at first but once he warms up to you, he loves pats and attention! He is such a clever boy who loves to run free and explore the world around him. Cruiser is very playful and loves to be around humans. This intelligent boy has already mastered the ‘sit’ command - mostly when there is food involved though!
Cruiser will need a home with someone who has a strong understanding of a Dingo’s needs so that he can live his best possible life in a domestic environment.
Cruiser’s ideal forever home:
Cruiser would best suit a home where he can safely run and explore his own backyard or paddocks as he will need lots of daily exercise to keep in shape. Cruiser is still young so it is important he finds his forever home as soon as possible so that he is able to build a strong bond with his new humans. Due to his nature, he is best suited to a home that is reasonably quiet. He will quite happily live alongside a dog, but he needs to be able to receive one on one attention also.
Cruiser needs a home where his humans are committed to caring for him for his whole life, Dingoes require the safety of their known surroundings and a strong bond with their owner.
Minimum fencing height that is recommended for Dingoes is a minimum of 2.1 meters in height, with a 45 degree return facing into the yard to prevent climbing. A return on the top of the fence will not be required if fencing is above 2.5 meters straight up. The base of your fencing also needs to be secure, with no gaps or holes that could be used to wiggle through.
We are receiving advice from Dingo Rescue organisations in order to rehome Cruiser and therefore, the application process will be conducted according to strict criteria under their guidance. This beautiful boy deserves the best home and we can’t wait to find it!
Cruiser’s story:
Cruiser was found as a young pup in the wild and after a couple of homes, he landed safely in his current caretakers home where he has been loved and looked after very well! Unfortunately for Cruiser, the homes he was in prior to this, did not realise the work and care it takes to own a Dingo as a pet and he was not there very long. He has adapted well to living a domesticated life, even living alongside a dog and learning some new skills.
Medical notes
Cruiser has been desexed, microchipped and is currently up to date with all of his vaccinations. He is also on preventative flea, tick and worming treatments.
