About Firefly
Meet Newcastle's very own pirate cat, Firefly!
Firefly is a sweet and gentle angel who is looking for his forever home. He loves to play AND loves a snuggle! Firefly loves people and, once he's comfortable with someone, he will sit on their lap for cuddles. He also loves to sleep on the foot of his human's bed at night.
Firefly was rescued from the streets after he lost one of his eyes and, despite his pirate status, he is a survivor. Only having one eye does not slow him down in anyway - he runs, pounces, and catch toys just like any other kitty. He also has a heart-wrenchingly adorable little chirp when he wants to say hello, or to express his excitement when it's dinner time. Adopters must be prepared to have their hearts stolen when he looks up at you with his little smile.
Firefly loves his toys and will use a scratching post. Due to his time on the streets as a young kitten, he absolutely loves his food so would need someone who has the discipline to not over-feed him with all of the treats!
He has lots of energy to play and would be best suited to a home with children or adults who can give him plenty of company throughout the day. He has an extremely gentle and social nature and likes to have someone around, therefore would not be suited to being left alone for long periods every day. Firefly gets along fine with other cats, as long as they don't mind him wanting to play with them too! He is also a great indoor cat, and has very little interest in going outside.
You can check out Firefly's charm and wit via his very own Youtube video!
We haven't seen this young man around dogs but predict that, with correct introductions, he would get along with gentle doggos who are experienced with cats.
