About Kalu
MEET KALU!
Kalu is approximately 4 years young, desexed, microchipped, vaccinated x2 and ready for his forever home
Kalu was surrendered to our rescue to be rehomed due to no fault of his own, sadly changes in the family meant they could no longer keep him.
He has a lot of energy, will happily run around and play, he LOVES to eat and definitely a lap cat, he would love to find a home where he is welcome to join you on the couch or in bed and have a cuddle. He would make a purrfect addition to any home needing a happy, cuddly kitty.
A letter from Kalu's foster mum -
"Beautiful 5 year old Kalu is the lovliest boy you could wish for he is incredibly friendly and absolutely full of love and personality. He truly is the dearest boy and loves being around humans he likes to join me in the toilet, bathroom and everywhere else I am. Loves cuddles and a rub on his belly and thinks kicking back on my bed smooching is pretty good and snuggles up every chance he gets. Sadly he is not given enough chances as I have inside dogs and Kalu is not a fan.
After more than 2 months in my care (foster mum) he has not been able to adjust to living in a home with dogs so a dog free home is best for him. I cannot say enough about his delightful personality he is an absolute sweetie and has an incredible amount of love to give."
Kalu is tolerable of little children and has lived happily with another cat, Kalu does not like dogs at all however so a home without indoor doggies is a must, for his own comfort.
Please note Kalu is INDOOR ONLY for life, we do advocate for outdoor enclosures though not necessary.
Medical notes
Kalu is a healthy young adult cat, we recommend feeding him a premium quality dry food such as royal canin, hills science diet, advance etc or even a dental dry food (prevention is the key!)
Adoption details
Thank you for your interest in a rescue cat! They can make the most wonderful friends and family members.
Our rescue cats have varied histories and stories and as such they each require a different home environment, we ask prospective adopters a series of questions aimed at making the perfect match so please dont be offended when asked questions. We do not adopt to a first in first serve basis and only adopt to the most suitable home possible. If you are outside Ballarat we ask that you make time to have a 30 minute video-chat with us and the kitty you are interested in so we can get to know you a little better and you can see the kitty in its home environment before coming up to Ballarat to adopt, if you are local then we hold a meet and greet at the foster home of the kitty. We only offer video chats and meet and greets to the most suitable homes.
All of our cats at Cat Lovers Ballarat are rehomed as strictly INDOOR ONLY cats and we ask that all prospective adopters only apply if they are capable and comfortable with this.
Please have patience with us as we go through all applications and make our decisions to move onto phase 2 and offer meet and greets, this can take days and sometimes a week to go through, you will be contacted whether you are successful or not.
Thank you again for your interest in one of our rescue cats!
