About Joyce
Hi, my name is Joyce and I'm the mum of the Stranger Things Crew. I became homeless with my 4 kids after my owner became homeless and had to move into a shelter. My kids have all found homes and now it's my turn to shine!
I've been a mum for far too long now and I'm kind of sick of it. I'm so glad that I've been desexed so I never have to worry about kids ever again! I love being without my kids now that they've all found homes. Now I can get all the attention to myself and cuddle up on my foster carer's lap making buscuits and purring away. I love playing with wand toys too! I don't think I want a home with young children or dogs. I might get along with other cats, I'm not too sure. I hissed at my foster carer's cats when I came out of my room, but that could be because I was protective of my little ones at the time. I'm sure if I had a bit of time I might like them.
My dream home though is one where I can lap up all the attention for myself. Between constantly having children and living with other cats at my previous home, I haven't really had all the attention to myself. I think I'd love a home where I didn't have to fight for attention all the time.
Joyce has been:
- Tried with children and not suitable for children under 12
- Untried with dogs (not suitable for dogs)
- Untried with cats (however lived with other cats before becoming homeless so may get along with them if she's introduced properly)
***To be kept strictly indoors or with access to a secure enclosure only***
Joyce is approximately 2 years old and her adoption fee of $100 includes:
- Desexing
- 1st Vaccination

- An adoption pack with some of her current food, a carrier blanket, a set of toys and other goodies to get her started.

Adoption details
Kittens and cats are adopted through their foster homes. Potential adopters are encouraged to contact Hisses to Purrs by phone, email or Facebook to arrange a meet and greet with the kitten they are interested in.
All kittens and cats are microchipped, vaccinated, desexed and parasite treated prior to adoption. There are no exceptions to this rule.
Pre-adoptions are available for adopters who wish to adopt a specific kitten or cat who has not reached weight for desexing, or who are awaiting their vet appointment. A minimum deposit can be made to pre-adopt a kitten awaiting their vet work. Kittens and cats remain in the care of Hisses to Purrs until desexing has occurred and in the case of female kittens and cats, until 5 days after desexing to give them time to heal.
All kittens and cats adopted through us must be kept indoors or have access to a secure cat enclosure. This is non-negotiable for the safety and health of our kittens and cats.
If you wish to adopt a cat or kitten, please fill out the adoption application form https://forms.gle/hadqmP3cVaDLviC9A
