About Rex
Hello friends, my name is Rex. I am a big (27 kgs!), sweet, 6 year old, black and tan Kelpie fella.
I have retired from working sheep and am absolutely loving this new lifestyle, lots of napping and chilling out suits me just fine.
Although I am quite big for a typical Kelpie, I am actually a massive softie and a bit of a wimp. After living much of my life on a farm, I have found all the sights and sounds of suburban life a little overwhelming.
While I love going on an adventure, I am also very content pottering around and being involved in whatever my family is doing - or “overseeing” your activities with my eyes closed! I know how to “sit”, some basic commands and am toilet trained. I happily sleep inside all night.
My ideal new people will spend lots of time with me, provide me with lots of love and be available for almost constant pats please! I would make an incredible companion dog, and will repay your love and attention with lots of licks. I still enjoy a run around wide open spaces, but a generally slow and quiet life is what I am seeking.
My perfect match would have no kids (they can be a bit too much for me at times) and I would prefer being a solo dog. I will thrive in a rural or semi rural setting, and would love to help around a farm or hobby farm.
If I sound like the sorta boy who would suit you and your lifestyle, then please apply. I will just have a nap and enjoy some pats while I wait!

Adoption details
To apply to adopt a dog from Dogs4Jobs, you must firstly complete our adoptions application form in full at http://dogs4jobs.com.au/adoption-form/.
You can also write out your answers and email them to dogs@dogs4jobs.com.au
*Please note, due to the high volume of applications received, we will not respond to Petrescue chat messages, or enquiries to adopt a dog. You must complete our adoptions form to be considered for the dog or pup, and we will respond to this form via our email.
We will then request to complete a yard check, or for you to send in photos of your yard showing the fencing, space, shelter and any hazards etc, to confirm it is safe and secure, as well as adequate space for a working breed dog.
Following this, we will then put you in touch with the dog/s foster carer/s that you are interested in, to chat further over the phone, about whether the dog is a good fit for your family, and vice versa. We are searching for the perfect match for each dog and their needs. A meet and greet can be arranged if both parties wish to proceed, and we also offer interstate adoption on all of our dogs.
