Meet our handsome man Fidget! Fidget arrived into care off death row at a northern pound. He is a stunning and incredibly friendly kitten who is now looking to find his forever family.
Fidget by name, Fidget by nature! Fidget is always looking to play, or smooch, or explore his surroundings. He is looking for a busy home with at least one other cat to keep him company when his humans are out. He would suit a family with children so he can spread his never ending love around to as many as possible. His new home needs to be prepared for a snuggle bug who is doing to be your new shadow. We have zero information on his previous history, however we do suspect he is crossed with a Rex like breed (likely Devon Rex). He has physical features that look like a Rex breed, and he also has many behavioural traits of the Rexs.
Fidget is completely DEAF. Because of this, and his pale features, Fidget must remin as a soley indoor only cat. He is at a higher chance of running into danger as he can't hear it approaching before it's too late. Fidget also has a VERY loud meow, which is a normal trait for deaf cats. He almost sounds like he's barking at you instead of meowing. Because of this, Fidget is not suited to a small apartment or small residence.
Please get in touch if you would like to meet with Fidget, or any of our other rescue kitties. 🐾
Adoption details
If you would like to know more information about any of our rescue animals, our rescue group, or to arrange a meet and greet, please email us. Please provide us with your name, email address, contact number, and some information about yourself, and the home you have to offer one of our rescue animals.
About us:
Gary and the Handicats Rescue is run soley by a Vet Nurse who works shift work and also cares for sick and high needs rescue animals. We strive to get back to you within 24 hours, but during busy kitten seasons there may be a delay. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
Please note we do not run on a "first in first served" basis. We screen applicants well before proceeding with adoption. Vet and rental references may be required for certain special needs adoptions.
We receive a large amount of interest in our handraised kittens, and certain special needs animals. Please understand that if you're application isn't successful, this may just be due to the amount of applications we have had for that particular animal, and not because of the home you have to offer. Preference is always given to our past adopters.
Meet and Greets:
• Meet and greets are held in an environment where the particular cat or kitten feels most comfortable.
• Please do not bring your own animals to a meet and greet.
• We do not allow any of our animals to be taken home on the day of the meet and greet. Special circumstances may be considered.
Picking up you're new family member:
• You MUST bring a safe, secure, and size appropriate carrier for your baby to travel home in. We do not have carriers to provide new adopters, and we will not send home one of our rescue animals in a cardboard box or a washing basket. If a carrier isn't able to be provided, your adoption will be cancelled.
