About Noah ~ 4mo Mixed Breed Puppy(On trial 24/7/22)
Get Lost In Those Eyes!
Noah is a sweet and chilled 16 week old cross breed who makes you melt when he looks at you with those loving eyes. Noah's father was a wolfhound cross bull arab and his mother was a border collie cross kelpie. While he takes after mum in looks he will definitely be at least on the large side of medium when he grows up.
Although Noah was very nervous when he came into care, he has blossomed into a relaxed and confident young dog in a loving family home. Because he has not been exposed to many experiences he may need patience and time when encountering new things and big changes, but with reassurance from his family he is very brave and interested in the world. Not much bothers Noah, he loves other dogs and people and is cautiously interested in cats with no sign of chasing smaller animals. He loves a cuddle and although he is getting a little large to climb on to your lap, he still tries to get as close to you as he can!
Noah learns very quickly. He taught himself to use a doggy door within a day of arriving in his foster home. Toilet training is going very well but needs ongoing positive reinforcement and monitoring to make sure good habits are established. He can already sit and is starting to wait for food and sleeps through the night in the laundry with his big doggy foster brother. Although he absolutely loves being inside with the family, he is very happy to play or relax outside for long periods of time. Noah has started lead training and he has a natural inclination to heel. Ongoing training will be necessary to ensure that he is the best boy that he can be.
For his age, Noah is a remarkably easygoing pup. Although he does chew a little bit (and has shown some interest in shoes) he is very easily redirected by toys. He loves to have an energetic play for short bursts but is also happy to just potter around and explore his environment, or nap on a lap or in his bed. He is not particularly jumpy and responds to a gentle no very quickly. It has been a delight to see Noah's confidence grow in his time in foster care.
It's quite hard to pin down Noah's ideal family because he is so chilled and happy that he would adapt to most circumstances when given time to settle. He hasn't met any young children, but even though he will be a big boy it's easy to imagine that he would be gentle and appropriate around them. Noah would also live happily with a couple or single person, and could be with or without a doggy companion although he would need someone to be home for a reasonable amount of time if there was no other dog in the family. He doesn't mind a bit of rough and tumble but an extremely loud and boisterous household with lots of coming and going might be a bit of a challenge for him at first.
Although Noah has shown no interest in leaving the yard and his family, as he is going to be a medium to large dog secure fencing is a must.
