About Meg
*In foster care in Surry Hills, Sydney*
Lovely young Meg has already had quite an eventful life - she was rescued after being found in a backyard with her litter of kittens - but now that they're raised and grown she's looking for a wonderful new home of her own!
Meg adores the safety and security of the indoors, and enjoys staking out her favourite spots for a long, peaceful snooze. She also loves being doted on, and will likely do well in a family home!
After being in her foster home for a couple of months, Meg is showing big lap-cat potential and has started climbing into her humans lap for the ultimate petting session! She can even balance herself on one human leg :-)
Like all Maggie's pets, Meg is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: ... will understand that I'm not bouncy and zany, or an endless source of entertainment. You wouldn't call me shy at all - I definitely know what I want, which is mostly a corner of the couch where I can curl up and snooze, or a gentle belly massage! - but I am quiet and independent (except when I’m following you around the home).
MY ENERGY LEVEL: While I mostly just sleep the day away on the couch, I'm still a kitten - so I have my active moments for sure! You can usually get me running around for a bit with a fishing rod toy or laser, before I make a dash for the couch again :)
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Because I'm a playful and confident girl, I think I'd love to have kids around who'll pat me and give me things to chase!
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I have spend some time with dog, so would be happy to meet any cat-loving canine. I did live with some other cat friends while in foster care and was ok with them.
Medical notes
Our vet has advised that Meg's gums don't react well to plaque build up. She will need to have her teeth and gums cleaned at home regularly, and she will likely need to go on dental food once she is out of the kitten stage. With a proper dental care plan the plaque build up will be kept to a minimum, however she's likely to need some removals in the future.
Meg's foster carer will be able to discuss with interested adopters how to clean her teeth and gums at an in-person meet and greet.

We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form at https://form.jotform.co/92940837256870. Please use this link rather than the 'Enquire' button on the pet's PetRescue profile to streamline your enquiry.
Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
