ABOUT MAYSIE

Hello, I'm Maysie! I'm a bundle of energy. I love to play, I'll happily chase the ball for hours. I'm can fetch and sometimes drop, but often I'll make you chase me for it. I am very high energy and when you first meet me I might be a little too excited. My humans are working on my training so I don't jump so much when I first meet someone. It's not because I'm naughty I am just VERY enthusiastic. I love my brother Koji, we do everything together. We like to play pretty rough, I would do well with another canine companion to play with, but I also wouldn't mind being the only dog in the house as I get a bit jealous when my brother is getting pats without me.

I also have 3 foster cat siblings. I like the kittens, they're lots of fun to play with. I'm nice and gentle with them, I find them pretty fascinating! I'm not sure about the bigger cat here because he swiped me, I just want to sniff him and play but he's not really interested so I keep my distance from him.

During my downtime, I want to be as close as possible to my humans. I like to nuzzle my face into their neck and drift off to sleep. I love being cozy under a blanket next to my humans, I give lots of licks to say thank you. So far my toilet training is going pretty well. I do my business outside when I'm told to, but if I'm left alone too long i might do it in the house. Sorry 🙁 I'm working on it! I am a very clever girl, I learned how to sit in one day! I love going for walks and my lead training is going very well.

My ideal household has a lot of time for me. I need to play and go for a big walk every day. If I do this I'm much happier and more settled. I love small humans because they play with me but I might be a bit intense for really small kids as I get SO excited and jumpy sometimes. I am extremely food motivated which makes for much easier training. If you go out, leave me with a bone or a chew treat and I'll be pretty happy. I will make a great addition to your family, I can't wait to meet you!

BEHAVIOURAL NOTES:
Puppy Behaviour- with puppy behaviour it is important to set boundaries and use consistent training to avoid creating bad habits. Puppy School is recommended- but not necessary.
Early Signs of Anxiety- Maysie shows signs of mild separation anxiety when left alone. Exercise, Enrichment items and activities are recommended while she's left alone.
