About Karla and Raxey
We are looking for a special home that has room for two; bonded pair Raxey and Karla are looking for a home due to a change in their owner’s circumstances and are hoping they can stay together with a forever family! Both dogs are 4 years old, Karla (left) is a female German Shepherd and Raxey (right) is a male.
Raxey and Karla were accustomed to being with their humans all day, but now as circumstances have changed, both dogs are feeling a little worried when left alone for extended periods of time. Raxey and Karla would love a new family who is home often, who have the time to dedicate to them and include them as a part of the family.
Both dogs have had obedience training previously, however their manners are a little rusty. Raxey and Karla grew up on a rural property and have spent most of their time running off lead, they tend to pull and are distracted when on lead. Ideally their new home will have at least two adults who can work together to walk and train both Karla and Raxey.
Both dogs can get over-excited when meeting new people, they will need plenty of consistent boundaries to help their social skills. They have not previously been exposed to children; their bouncy greetings indicate that they would be suited to a family with children over the age of 8.
Raxey and Karla currently play well with a couple of doggy friends that they have grown up around, however when out on walks, they can be reactive towards new dogs. Raxey and Karla are suited to a home without other dogs, they need slow exposure to build up to meeting new dogs in a calm manner and will need a confident, breed experienced family to help with their exposure and ongoing socialisation.
Raxey and Karla currently live with a cat, they could possibly be ok living with another cat in their new home, however, would need extremely slow introductions as they have been known to chase new cats previously. The ability to permanently separate is required if the temptation to chase proves too much for Karla and Raxey.
Both of these dogs have beautiful temperaments and ooze love and affection, they love nothing more than playing ball and having fun with their humans during the day and then snuggling up on the couch at night. Raxey and Karla adore one another and can often be found cuddling up and giving each other kisses, they are already having to say goodbye to their family, it would break their hearts to also lose each other.

Adoption details
We offer a 'Foster to Adopt' program. This means that the dog will go to live with their adoptive family for 4 weeks to ensure it is the perfect match for both the dog and new family. After the 4 weeks is complete, if all has gone well, the adoption is formalised and your new doggy companion is officially yours!
If you are interested in adopting from us, we ask that you fill out the Adoption Application form on our website (via the link provided below) with as much detail as possible, including the name of the dog you are interested in.
We do not rehome female dogs to a home where there is an existing female dog. Whilst there are always exceptions, it is generally unwise to have two females together; two males can sort it out, a male and a female can sort it out, but when two females fight, the results can be disastrous. For this reason, following the advice from numerous Veterinary behaviourists, as well as our own experience from the last eight years, we do not rehome females into homes with other female dogs.
All of our dogs are de-sexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated
Puppies (2 months to 4 months) - $1000
Puppies (4 to 6 months) - $800
Adolescents (6 months to 1 year) - $700
