Leif is a stunning 5 year old kelpie x with possible working history. He is affectionate, smart and busy and will make the most wonderful addition to the right home and owner.

About Leif
* He loves snuggles and pats; from anyone but mostly men
* He has been lovely with all dogs that we have met and with the resident kelpie x
* Says no to cats (or rabbits, pocket pets etc)
* Toilet trained, walks well on halti, getting better on lead, and has training and manners,
possibly working dog training, and is eager to please. Wants to be a good boy
* He has a busy mind and body, and both need to be exercised
* He loves walks and smells and is a beautiful runner (he does not fetch a ball yet)
* He loves the car/ute and looking out the window
* He has been left at home with another dog for a few hours and they slept
* He is jumpy in loud, busy places such as main roads, busy cafes etc or when he sees
something exciting, but fine with quieter areas so a gentle introduction to new places and
things is recommended
* Has not been destructive in foster care
* He is currently walked 30 - 45 minutes morning and evening and then plays with the resident dog, mooches around in the garden and snoozes during the day, comes to kids sports, out for coffee etc. The foster family work from home. He would love to go out in the car more, maybe to work with you. Bigger walks and outings at weekends.

About you and your home
* He is a country boy who needs a low density, quiet area (not busy roads)
* Someone/a couple/ family who loves dog cuddles and snuggles and having a doggy shadow.
* He needs and wants lots of love and affection. He would struggle to be home alone 5 days a week and would probably find his own entertainment
* Experience of higher activity/intelligence breeds to be able to understand his exercise,
confidence, and intelligence needs, and to give him calm spaces too. He is 5 years old, but he is still a kelpie!
* He likes having company so a companion dog now or in the future would be good.
* Children over 10 in the home. He loves children but does still jump up so needs managing
around younger children
* No cats or small animals.
